A new way to get your big air thrills opens in Tignes
A few years ago, big air bags started to make appearances in many ski resorts. Offering those brave enough but perhaps lacking the necessary skills to launch themselves from a large kicker, or jump, safe in the knowledge that an inflatable landing zone is there to prevent serious injury. These have become incredibly popular in ski resorts of late but Tignes has gone one step further with the new “Bun-J-Ride”, offering skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to launch themselves from a ski jump into a 40 metre abyss. The skier or boarder is attached to elastic cords that follow your jump, once stable you make your way back to terra firma by zip wire.
The jump is close to the Merles chairlift in Tignes, next to the Lac piste.
