Another Season, Another New Folie Douce!
By Ruth Nutt
Les Arcs, I hope you’re ready… La Folie Douce is coming to town.
I won’t go as far as saying that Folie Douce is a household name, but to keen skiers it’s certainly nothing new. As an institution, they pride themselves on entertaining “families, the young and the not-so-young” since 1980 – they’ve really got the mountain experience down to a T.
With another new location set to open on December 14th, La Folie are ready to spread the magic to a whole new resort and entertain hundreds of new skiers every day of the season. From midday onwards you can marvel at the wonders of aerial displays and live concerts before partying the afternoon away with live DJ sets and dancing on the tables. C’est incroyable (“incredible” for me and you)!
The beauty of the new Les Arcs location is the ease of access for everyone either by gondola, on foot or by ski, so there’s no excuse for missing the party. With 3 restaurant options, dedicated spaces for children and private rooms available for hire, they’ve really worked hard to make the space available for all. Whether you need a quick bite before heading back to the slopes or you like to dine with sophistication and style, there’s food options that will work for you.
If you’re lucky enough to be heading to Les Arcs this season, I’d highly recommend paying the new La Folie Douce a visit. It’s an experience like no other, and definitely something you don’t want to miss.
Want to try something different?
Why not turn it up a notch and try out La Folie Douce Hotel in Chamonix? Spend a whole week here and immerse yourself in the pure joy that is the driving force behind La Folie Douce’s crazy and eclectic mix of entertainment. Choose from premium twin rooms, family rooms or hostel beds (all with mountain views, of course) to suit your budget; just another way La Folie are striving to make their establishments accessible to everyone.
Not only do they provide their own Ski School Services as “The Folie Ride Team”, there’s also a ski-rental shop on site and a plethora of additional activities on offer including dog sledding and helicopter flights too. Keep the kids happy with evening shows and entertainment in a choice of 5 restaurants as well as an outdoor swimming pool to burn all that extra energy they seem to store! They also make sure to keep the adults happy too though, with a cosy cocktail club and spa facilities. Oh, but don’t forget about the prime attraction – the infamous Apres-Ski parties running throughout the afternoon. I think that’s about everything! Check it out on our website here.
This new, exciting generation of ski holidays is upon us, don’t get left behind!
