Loden, sleeps 12, Meribel
A high quality chalet with a comfortable living room located very close to the piste
Overview
With uninterrupted views of the forests and pistes of Méribel, Chalet Loden is hidden away up a winding pathway in a delightfully tranquil and sunny spot on the eastern side of the mountain.
For ski access, the blue Doron run is just a short walk from the chalet’s entrance, and this piste brings you down into the Chaudanne, Méribel’s main lift hub from which you can take the lifts in the direction of Courchevel or the Belleville Valley for Saint Martin, Les Menuires or Val Thorens.
If you are the type of skier or snowboarder who likes to make the most of a full day on the slopes, followed by the simple pleasure of flopping onto a comfy sofa by the fire and gazing at the mountain views, then Chalet Loden is for you (and of course we enhance that simple pleasure by adding afternoon tea into the mix!)
As one of this popular resort’s original chalets, there’s masses of space for relaxing in the L-shaped sitting room which surrounds an impressive fireplace – perfect on a wintry night. When the sun is shining, Chalet Loden is in a prime spot, and with its huge balcony doors and unimpeded views, you really appreciate the beauty of the mountain scenery.
In the evenings, the dining room has plenty of elbow room and you can tuck into your meal whilst enjoying the twinkling lights of the resort and the floodlit Roc de Fer piste.
The Loden also has large rooms and really comfy beds, with good quality bedding, so you’ll be well-rested and ready for action the next day, after your chalet breakfast.

Our opinion
A stalwart of the Meribel catered chalet scene, the Loden has always been incredibly popular due to it’s amazing location and the fact is has a VERY comfortable living room, something modern chalets tend to lack.
