Appaloosa, sleeps 14, Val d’Isere
A large chalet great for groups with wellness area and disabled lift access
Overview
Chalet Appaloosa is a Savoyard-style chalet only a short walk from the heart of this bustling resort. The chalet itself is about 7 minutes to the main high street where you will find a vast array of shops, bars and restaurants. There is a free ski bus nearby, but the chalet operator also provide a free shuttle service if you prefer to be chauffeured to the slopes in the mornings or afternoons.
The chalet itself is a real gem, it’s beautifully furnished and very spacious, sleeping up to 14 guests in 7 modern bedrooms, all of which have en-suite facilities and a balcony. On the entrance level you have a ski and boot room, as well as a stylish dining area and a mezzanine level with cosy sofas and a roaring log fire. This chalet is an excellent option for disabled access too, as there is a lift that serves all 4 floors!
On the bottom level, there is a wonderful wellness area with hot tub and steam room, which offers the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of skiing. We like this chalet but you must get in there quickly as it doesn’t hang around. All in all, a very astute choice.

Our opinion
An amazing find – Savoyard exterior with modern facilities. And the lift access is a rare find too.
Our Contactless Catered service offers a more effortless holiday experience. The supplies you’ll need for breakfast every morning, afternoon snacks, pre-dinner nibbles and dinner for six evenings are included in your chalet so you can skip the hassle of meal planning and ingredient hunting and let us take care of everything.
With our contactless service you will have much more freedom when it comes to dining. We supply and stock your fridge and cupboards behind the scenes so you can heat up and enjoy the dishes in the order you wish and at the time you want to eat. So if you fancy having cereal and yoghurt at 5pm then paté and pumpkin soup at 9pm you can!
