Rive Gauche, sleeps 10, Val d’Isere

A stunning luxury chalet in a ski to door location with a pool and driver service

Inspiring interiors and unique location above the Isère river gorge prepare visitors for a wonderful stay in the mountains. Five bedrooms spread across four floors, chalet Rive Gauche has a spectacular living and dining space which catches the last of the evening sun. An indoor pool and hammam, and a home run piste back to the door of the property spoil skiers choosing this special chalet.

Situated beautifully next to her sister chalet, Vieux Pont, enter the chalet into the reception area and ski room where there is a simple place for ski storage and all important boot warmers. On this level discover the indoor pool with flow system and a moroccan steam room with one of the best views in Val d’Isère overlooking the river and the old bridge. Moving to the first floor you will find the main sleeping area where most of the bedrooms are located. Three of these rooms are king or twin rooms and are flexible on how they are configured. They benefit from mainly west facing views to catch the evening sun. There is also a small room that contains adult sized, fixed reclaimed wood bunk beds, with its own wash space.

The second floor has one of the most impressive spaces in the chalet, with a huge living and dining area that can easily entertain large numbers of people. With double-height windows, huge amounts of light flood onto this floor. There is an outside terrace overlooking the river and the italian border mountains. The reclaimed wood table seats ten and there is also a card or breakfast table for four. The log fireplace is a central focus for the room and there is a large flat screen television for catching up on sporting events or just watching a movie.

Food is at the heart of everything we do at here. The chalet chefs are some of the most qualified in the alps with years of experience in 5* hotels, michelin starred restaurants and super-yachts. Each chef brings their style and flair to their chalet to create unique and bespoke seasonal menus. Trained to the highest standards, our chefs have the ability to cater to different cuisines and dietary requirements. They will contact you before your arrival to discuss what you would like during your stay. We like to keep our menus fresh and interesting and on the lighter side – but you decide. Our chefs serve breakfast on seven mornings and dinner on five evenings. We also include champagne and canapés on an evening of your choosing.

Wine is a passion, it’s a hobby, it can be taken lightly or seriously. How ever you treat your wine we will have selected something to suit your taste. In our fully serviced chalets we include carefully selected wines to match with our menus. We have a wonderful selection of wines including a delightful grand cru champagne from Alain Grilliat, a fabulous boutique house in Ay.

Our chefs love their menus to be enjoyed with wine so they will be happy to suggest the perfect combination. We also have our own fine wine supplier in resort so if there is a specific bottle we can get for you we will do our best to source it.
