SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental

The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental ski region is a large ski area covering 288km of slopes – the perfect place for beginners and intermediate skiers thanks to the wide, groomed pistes. There are a large number of mountain restaurants to use during the day… 81 to be precise… so if you’re looking for a hot chocolate to warm you up on a cold day, or relax for an hour enjoying local delicacies, then there is plenty to choose from.

We offer hotels in a number of villages here including Söll, Ellmau and Westendorf that all have their own unique charm.

Söll is a wonderful rural farming village that has been brought to life with an active nightlife scene and a great social atmosphere. There is an attractive pedestrianised centre where you will find a number of bars to try as well as local shops. This is a great option for families too, with quick gondola access to ‘Hoch Söll’ – a large skiing bowl with plenty for beginners and offers lifts to the other ski areas. Söll is also home to Tobogganing, Sleigh Rides, Night Skiing, Ice Skating, Snowshoeing, and Igloo Village… and keep your eye out for fancy dress witches skiing around too!

Ellmau is a village set at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser mountains with wide, gentle nursery slopes close to the centre – no need to catch a gondola to get there! From the town, you need to hop on the ski bus to access the main lift to the expansive SkiWelt ski area. Apres-ski bars as well as evening events can be found here with plenty to suit everyone. These include Sleigh Rides, Toboggan Run, Skating, Swimming and Bowling too! Some evenings, there is also a nighttime ski display – definitely something you don’t want to miss.

Westendorf is a small resort on the opposite side of the ski area that also offers access to the ski region of Kitzbuhel (please note, this is on a different ski pass). It is found in the wide Brixen Valley and is a charming family-friendly resort with nursery slopes directly accessed from the village centre. Intermediate skiers have 2 gondolas to choose from, both taking you up separate sides of the valley and offering challenging slopes that will definitely be a test!
