Catered Ski Chalets

A catered chalet is a very popular type of ski holiday and it’s easy to see why. A catered chalet is your own home from home, a comfortable place to relax at the end of a day’s skiing, with a focus on dinner prepared by your own chalet hosts.

Catered ski chalets are ideal for guests looking for a sociable ski holiday that has everything taken care of.

What is a catered chalet holiday?

A typical day in a catered chalet starts with a delicious, cooked breakfast with freshly brewed tea and coffee. Your hosts will then take care of the clearing up while you head out skiing for the day. In the afternoon when you return to the chalet, you’ll find tea and home-made cake waiting for you.

Dinner is a home-cooked dinner-party style meal with free-flowing wine and coffee included. Your hosts will then clear away dinner and do the dishes leaving you to relax for the evening. Everything is taken care of, so you can concentrate on enjoying your ski holiday.

Your chalet hosts will have one or two days off during the week, which will give you the opportunity to eat out in a local restaurant. Your hosts will be able to make recommendations for a restaurant and will usually be happy to make a booking for you.

Why book your ski chalet holiday with Alpenglow?

There are a huge number of  catered ski chalets to choose from and finding the right one can take time. While they all operate in a similar way there often there are crucial differences in the service provided.

You may need a certain flight route or want to book a particular room type. If you’re a family with kids you might want to eat dinner as a family or prefer an earlier meal for the children.

The level of catering can vary from a basic three course evening meal to a more lavish five course dinner with pre-dinner fizz, canapes and a cheese course. Some of our luxury properties even provide a professional chef.

These details and many more besides, can make or break your holiday.

The location of your chalet is also so important. Whethe you want to be as close as possible to the slopes, near to the bars or  a peaceful location with a beautiful view, we will ask for your priorities and tailor our recommendations accordingly.

We have been advising clients for many years and are specialists in finding the chalet that offers the right package for you. Give us a call or send us an enquiry form and we’ll get to work finding your next ski trip.

“We have used Alpenglow for a number of years and and found them consistently diligent, efficient, extremely knowledgeable, flexible and friendly. The after-care is as impressive as the sale process. We highly recommend.”
